ZALDY P. NORBA

December 21, 2001 at exactly 12:05PM, I first set foot on the vast domain of Sta. Cruz Church to attend an invitation for a monthly meeting. An invitation given by the Blessed Sacrament Vocation Club. I remembered the feeling of being alone, the gloom and loneliness eventhough I am with a companion that time. Such feeling was relieved when I met Kuya Zaldy, a kind soul who offered a conversation and gave me the feeling that I belong. Such signaled the beginning of a friendship that had its roots outside this world. In less than two months from now, this kind soul will journey on a quest for a person at its highest--the wisdom of the heart. He responded to the echoing call of the present times which are dictated by changes.

A friend in its truest sense. Although often misunderstood, those who are able to understand him enjoys a friendship anchored in love, respect, and charity. Thank you very much for sharing that gift to me. Through the ups and downs, thank you very much for being with me, for understanding my moods, and for just being you.

"Every once in a while, I want you to close your eyes and remember all the smiles that you and I have shared. And when you open your eyes, I want you to smile one more smile... as you gently realize that no matter how many days or how many miles come between us... you and I will always be as close, as close as can be...." by: Alin Austin
